BioE PhD Student Wins Best Poster Presentation at Gordon Research Conference for Optics and Photonics
Kelvin Amakye (above left), a second-year bioengineering PhD candidate in Assistant Professor Christa Haase’s lab, won Best Poster for his project “A Custom Three-Photon Microscope for Intravital Imaging of Axolotl Regeneration” at the Gordon Research Conference for Optics and Photonics in Medicine and Biology 2026. The conference ran from July 12 to 17 at Bates College in Maine. He was one of six awardees to win the GRC Poster Award for attendees with outstanding poster presentations out of 133 total presenters.
