Chowdhury Selected as Finalist for Blavatnik National Award in Physical Sciences & Engineering
ECE Professor Kaushik Chowdhury was selected as a finalist for the 2023 Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists in Physical Sciences & Engineering for addressing the global need of telecommunications spectrum scarcity, as well as improve connectivity by designing next generation wireless systems and machine learning-based network operations.

Lustig Issued Seven Patents for New Kevlar® EXO™ Product by DuPont
Steve Lustig, ChE associate professor, was a major contributor to a new product by DuPont called Kevlar® EXO™, a novel, ultra-high-performance copolymer that offers added strength and resilience. Through this collaborative research, Lustig has been issued seven patents for his technology.

$3M NIH Award for New Treatments for Pancreatic Cancer
Bouve/ChE University Distinguished Professor Mansoor Amiji is working with UC Davis and drug developer TargaGenix to create new treatments for pancreatic cancer. The researchers received a $3 million five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to work on mouse efficacy and safety trials at Northeastern for the next three years.
