Jonathan Gray, E’16, mechanical engineering, is the recipient of the 2024 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, which will contribute to his PhD in aerospace engineering at UCLA. Since 2016, he has worked as a project engineer at ATA Engineering, where he completed his first co-op.

Jennifer Dueñas López, MS’23, civil engineering, completed a bachelor’s degree in transportation and highway engineering in her home country of Colombia before moving to the Boston area. After graduating from Northeastern with a master’s degree in 2023, she returned to her co-op at HDR to work full-time.

He was awarded a scholarship from The Moles, a national fraternal organization, for his demonstrated interest in the heavy construction industry.

Finding Natural Solutions To Protect Coastal Communities
Louiza Wise, E’21, environmental engineering, completed three co-ops that fueled her passion for tackling climate change threats with nature-based solutions. Those experiences helped her get a job at the NSF-funded Emerald Tutu project in Boston and helped her prepare for graduate school, the next step in her career.
