Alpha Fund Award for Pioneering Innovation With Finder @ Social

Surya Sai Brahmendra Ramoju, MS’24, data analytics engineering, received the Alpha Fund Award from Northeastern’s Center for Entrepreneurship Education for his commitment to fostering transformative change in the digital sphere.
He is the founder of Finder @ Social, which is dedicated to creating a secure, authentic, and enriching social media platform that redefines digital communities by prioritizing privacy and genuine connection. The Alpha Fund Award marks a significant milestone in his vision of a world where online engagement is both safe and meaningful.
Surya’s journey from India to Boston is one of ambition, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence. He has had several accomplishments while at Northeastern, including his role as a data scientist and AI engineer co-op at Autism Health. Here, he harnessed the power of data science and artificial intelligence to advance healthcare solutions. He was also named to the 2024 Lux. Veritas. Virtus. Society for his embodiment of Northeastern’s core values of light, truth, and virtue.
Beyond his academic and professional accomplishments, he was part of the team representing the College of Engineering and Northeastern as a victor in the 2024 Designing Actionable Solutions for a Secure Homeland (DASSH) Challenge. This achievement, he says, further underscores his capacity to navigate and address complex challenges with creativity and precision.
Surya says that Finder @ Social is more than just a startup—it is a movement toward the future of digital interaction. With the platform’s launch on the horizon this semester, Surya believes it promises to set new standards in social media, ensuring that privacy, security, and community are not just priorities, but foundations.
As he embarks on the next chapter of his journey, he reflects that true innovation is not just about creating something new, but about creating something better.
