Prof. Benneyan's Opioid Research Featured in the Boston Herald

Professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research James Benneyan was featured in the Boston Herald article, "Group: Fentanyl to Fuel Opioid Deaths Five More Years." The deadly synthetic fentanyl and a shortage of treatment facilities will fuel the opioid epidemic over the next five years — and fatalities will climb before finally tapering off, according to mathematical models developed by Northeastern researchers.
