About

Dr. Marrian Mitry is a scholar practitioner who earned her Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University. Her research aimed to discover and develop a way to better support international students at a U.S. higher education institution, allowing them to succeed in their educational journey and accomplish their goals. Dr. Mitry has a Master of Education degree from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College.

Dr. Mitry began her journey at Northeastern University as a Student Affairs professional, where she worked at the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR). As an Assistant Director of OSCCR, she met with students daily to discuss alleged policy violations and the reasons behind their actions. Through her experience living abroad in Lebanon for eight years and her role in student conduct, Dr. Mitry developed a deep appreciation for working with international students and hearing about their journey, their challenges, and the skills they have gained from their experiences. Currently, Dr. Mitry works as a Co-op Faculty and Assistant Director of Multidisciplinary Graduate Engineering (MGEN) Co-op within the Department of Engineering at Northeastern University, where she supports international graduate students throughout their academic and professional journey. Dr. Mitry enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three children.
