Sun Selected as APS Fellow
ECE Distinguished Professor Nian Sun was selected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society by the Topical Group on Magnetism and its Applications (GMAG) for his innovations in high magnetization materials, magnetoelastic and magnetoelectric thin film materials, microsystems, and device physics.

Co-op Lays the Foundation for a Career in Electrical Operations
John Malgeri, E’78, electrical engineering, completed his co-ops at Consolidated Edison Inc. of New York after pursuing an opportunity offered to him while still in high school. His co-ops allowed him to discover career interests through experience and taught him communicative skills that were essential to his decades-long career in electric and gas operations.

Interoperable AI Biomanufacturing Systems
MIE Assistant Professor Wei Xie, in collaboration with Ohio University and IMPSystems, is leading a $244,235 National Institute of Standards and Technology grant, “Biomanufacturing Modeling and Machine Learning Ontology Platform.” The research will address manufacturing systems integration, interoperability, and standardization development.
